Hello 618ers,

Dis is my website: http://students.ed.qut.edu.au/n6261612/CLN618/website/index.html.

Welcome everyone to have a look.

My intended students are freshmen in the college, around nineteen to twenty years old, who just passed their most important examination in their life- National College Entrance Examination. Thus, their English proficiency could be considered as intermediate since they have studied English as their second language more than 10 years. At the meantime, their speaking English might a little weaker than other skills since speaking English is always ignored by the test-constructors.

Dont forget to give me some suggestions! Thx

Hi Yuki,

I have just visited your website finding the home page quite attractive. All the information were well organized and the instructions were easy to follow. I liked the background and color of the homepage. And the pictures and animations on the homepage were wonderful, relevant and flash.

I wondered who you specially designed these activities for. Matching was rather easy. I think younger students would love to do this matching because they can easily get the correct answers, which would be quite motivating.

When I did the activities, I found that all the link "index" except on the page of cloze don't work. Would you pls check all the links on each page? One more suggestion is that you add link to your webquest on your homepage.

Thanks. I enjoyed doing those activities.

Hallo, yuki,
I had a look at your website, and the overall impression is good, like all of us.
You obviously have commanded the skills of creating a hotpotato.
The activities designed are accessible.
The rationale behind it is reasonable.
Therefore, your job is well done.
If I have to go to extremes to provide suggestions, I think it is difficult to say. Come on , maybe, you can make it better.

Hi Yuki

You designed a very attractive website. I like the background colour ! Very sofe and comfortable view. The materials and activities are well-selected and effective. All the links do work
and pictures are nice.
I have some questions after reading your website.
You didn't mention the background information of your learners, such as their age and the level of English. I think your target audience are primary or junior high students. Young people are very interested in reading your topic and enjoy doing the activities. However, I read your blog and I realise that your target students are freshmen in the college (19-20 years old. If it's true then I think all the exercises are too easy and too brief(2 to 4 questions per activity)for them.
For example, matching activity is too simple, it would be better if you can use some long sentences instead or match the history of the sports. What do you think?
The cloze is not too hard, from my point of view, learners don't need 10 minutes to finish all the tasks, you might be underestimated their abilities.
It would be better if you can use drag and drop in the Mix activity.
In short, I like the Quiz exercise because you put the reading text together and the questions are interesting. Also, the crossword is well-designed and suits your students.

You did a good job!

Cheers
